Nursery Trip to Sheldon Countyr Farm

Nursery went on a trip to Sheldon Country Park on 06.05.15. The children were very excited as they got on the coach, they sang songs related to the animals they were going to see at the farm. When we arrived our first stop was the hen house, where the children fed the ducks, chickens and geese bread, they also had the opportunity to hold a chick. Next we watched the farmer brush the horses and take them into the fields for a run. The children loved the horses and asked if they could have a pony ride. Also on our trip we saw pigs, sheep, cows and goats, the children were able to feed and stroke these animals. Later we had a play in the play area where the children had lots of fun. Finally we said thank you to the farmer and bye to the animals before getting back on the coach to school. The children all said what a wonderful time they had and how much they would love to visit the farm again.
