The dances were performed in assemblies sharing the different dances with the rest of the school. Our dancers did us proud!
Year 5 had a wonderful trip to Malvern this half term, which was part of the Topic Curriculum comparing local areas. The children really enjoyed the delightful scenery of Malvern walking around the tranquil town and then going to Malvern Hills. Where they accomplished a very tiring journey walking up to the Beacon and enjoying the magnificent view from the top. Everyone had fun including the teachers!
We have been taking part in different science investigations in our TTG groups, the last few weeks. TTG2 looked at finding out if the amount of batteries (cells) effect the brightness of a bulb. The children had a go at making a simple circuit and adding batteries. TTG1 were investigating how different temperatures effect the speed of dissolving salt. In TTG3 they looked at if the size of your bicep effects how far you can throw a javelin. All three groups had fun taking part in these investigations and comparing the results with each other.
In 5ps we have been taking part in violin lessons, we have learnt how to use the violin, read music and sing to different tunes. Also we have been given the opportunity to improvise tunes, creating different rhythms.
