We are learning about Chinese New Year over the next two weeks. This year, the celebration falls on February 12th and the Chinese will be celebrating the Year of The Ox.
See if you can make your own Chinese New Year Chatterbox. Look at the diagrams at the top of the picture to see if you can fold your Chatterbox correctly, then use it. You could add your pictures of Chinese Dragons and some writing about your own New Year Resolutions!
See if you can make your own Chinese New Year Dragon mask. You could use card or paper and tie on your mask with wool or string. See if you can colour in your mask. A popular colour to use at New Year is Red, as this means Good Luck.
This is a lovely Maths activity, using the different characters from the Chinese New Year Zodiac to represent numbers. See if you can crack the code and calculate the answers to the Maths problems.
