23rd March 2020
Dear Parents/Carers,
RE Coronavirus School Closures
As of the end of the school-day on Tuesday 24th March, Conway Primary School will be closed to all pupils & parents until further notice.
As advised by the government, we have done all we can to stay open for the children of key workers (e.g. NHS staff, police, others in frontline services) and children with certain needs. However due to staff sickness and self isolation of staff we will not be able to remain open.
We have arranged for the pupils of our identified key workers to be educated at Greet Primary School for the forseeable future.
We have also arranged with the Head teacher at Greet to provide a packed lunch service for those pupils who are entitled to free school meals on a daily basis. Please email the school at enquiry@greet.bham.sch.uk if you require this service. The collection time from Greet Primary School is between 12pm and 1pm on a daily basis.
The other group that schools are being asked to stay in touch with are ‘ our vulnerable children’. The initial Government definition here is:
We have made arrangements with the Senior Leadership Team at Conway Primary to keep in touch by telephone with these families.
While it is a challenging situation, we are not alone. We’ll re-open fully as soon as we can and will let you know when this is by parent mail.
What we’ll continue doing while your child is at home
Your child’s learning is of course important to us, so we’ll continue to help your child to learn.
