To the parents of all children at Conway Primary School
From: Pat Smart, CEO and Ms T Yasmin, Headteacher
Dear parents,
Letter from Create Partnership Trust
Firstly we send our very good wishes to all our children and families. We know that this has been a very difficult time for everyone and we particularly send our deepest sympathies to those of you who have lost loved ones at this terrible time.
We want to bring you up-to-date with our plans. As you will be aware, there is much anxiety and confusion across the country about when schools should reopen. Please bear with us as we try to make sense of it. Unfortunately we are not yet in a position to set out everything that will happen over the coming weeks and months and we recognise that must be frustrating for parents.
There is nothing we would like to see more than our wonderful children back in school but at the moment, until we receive clearer advice, we can’t be certain of their safety or that of our staff.
For this reason we will not be opening the school during the week of 1 June.
However, our teams of staff are already starting to organise the spaces in school to ensure that when it does open, there can be enough social distancing to keep everyone safe. We fully understand the concerns of staff and parents and we are determined that we will take no unnecessary risks.
It is officially the half-term holiday next week so we would expect to have some further news after that and we will keep you fully informed.
We miss the children very much and hope that parents and families have been able to keep up the home schooling. We thank the staff who have kept in touch with you over these long nine weeks.
If you are celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr, we wish you Eid Mubarak and hope it is not too long before we can see the children back in school again.
Very best wishes to you all.
