Positive test of COVID-19 in Class 3K

3rd December 2020

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are writing to inform you that a member of staff in Class 3K has tested positively for COVID-19. All children in that class are now isolating at home.

Class 3YB and all other year groups are not affected by this because they are in different “bubbles” and will not have come into close contact with the member of staff in Year 3K.

Please do not bring your child to school if they or anyone within your household are showing symptoms,

The main symptoms of coronavirus are:

  • A high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your back or chest (you do not need to measure your temperature).
  • A new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual).
  • A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste – this means you’ve noticed you cannot smell or taste anything, or things smell or taste different to normal.

Most people with coronavirus have at least 1 of these symptoms.

If you or your child shows symptoms, please keep them at home and get a COVID-19 test:
    https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/testing-and-tracing/get-a test-to-check-if-you-have-coronavirus/

Please be vigilant and help the community by following social distancing guideline and wearing a face mask when you come onto the school site.

We understand this is an anxious time and we will continue to communicate with you. Let’s work together to keep this community safe.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs N Mills

Interim Head of School
