Welcome to the Year 3 Class Page!

Throughout the rest of the year we will keep updating our class page so please look on here to find lots of information and some fun games for you to play on at home.

Remember, the best thing you can do at home is read. We love reading at school and need to make sure that we are also reading everyday at home. If you read every day then you will become a Year 3 READING HERO!

Here are some well-known Greek Myths for you to have a look at at home.

In the picture below 3D are showing you their shocked and scared faces because they had been learning about e-safety. We had written down our name and other personal information about ourselves. Then we chose to pass it to one friend who we knew and trusted. However, we saw that once it had been passed on, we couldn't get it back! The string shows you how far some of our personal information had travelled. Mr Jones pretended to be a hacker and stole some of our information too! The internet can be a very scary place so we then discussed how we can stay safe online. After a question and answer time we felt much happier and we now know how to protect our information online.

Genius Geologists

In Autumn Term 2, the children in Year 3 are becoming 'Genius Geologists'. They will be learning all about volcanoes and how the Earth is formed out of many different layers and types of rock. They will also be learning about all the fascinating natural disasters which can happen on planet Earth.

Today, Y3 visited a volcano! (We used the green screen app and pretended - Please don't be too scared for us, we were safe!)

Feel the Force!

For the next three weeks we shall start to learn about forces and magnets. We kick-started our topic with a fun experiment that helped to remind us of what we have already learnt about forces. Here are some pictures of our force shooters that we made today - 16.10.17.

Please left-click on the images above to learn more about these forces

The Stone Age

In Autumn Term 1 we are going to be looking at Stone Age Britain. We will also be looking at the changes which have taken place from the Stone Ages right through to the Bronze and Iron age.

Please left-click on the pictures of websites below to take you to some wonderful web pages all about the Stone Age.
